A Geek Community Hellhole is a monastic nightmare that leans on traditional jump scares throughout before paying off with an artful ending that makes its tight hour and 30-minute runtime hit its full potential. The atmosphere captured and wild turn of events in the final act make it worth a watch, but it does feel like a missed opportunity. Craig B Look, Hell Hole is not too bad and it's certainly watchable.Great premise and overall the plot is delivered fairly well.Don't expect to see any Academy Award winning performances, as the acting would be best described as 'understated', (not bad by any stretch), and admittedly suits the type of story it is trying to tell.Pretty creepy with some suitably gory (but not over the top) scenes.Worth giving it a go if you are a horror fan... you may like it, you may not, but you could certainly do much worse. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review John B Would have been great if we saw the demon for more than 2 minutes at the end. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/22/24 Full Review Audience Member A middle of the road occult horror. While largely predictable and trope-y, it does contain some good scenes and effects. I appreciate that the protagonist has a modicum of common sense which is a rare sight in horror. It is also unexpectedly humorous at moments...the tone shifts a lot in the last half hour which might put some people off but I kind of enjoyed it. It makes for a decently entertaining one-time watch, if you don't take it too seriously. And now, I'm going to search for more Polish horror films. Cinematography was awesome and the ending - 🤯🤯. Everything about it was incredible.
